At the beginning of October our family started a new chapter of our family story… We decided to put our home for sale and build a new home in a town we love. Unless God has other plans, this is our “dream home” and the home we plan to make the rest of all our family memories in. It’s such a bittersweet time for us. We will miss our Palio Ct home so very much… it was the first home Jason and I bought together, it was where we brought our babies home to, it’s where I’ve watched them grow up. It’s where we have made all our memories for the past 8 1/2 years. We will miss it terribly BUT there were some important things that we wish were different in regards to raising two boys. Our street was not a place I felt comfortable with them riding their bikes around and really no children on our street for them to play with. Our view in front was another home and behind was another home. We wanted to start doing some renovations but just kept feeling like it wasn’t our forever home. God opened the doors for an opportunity to build in a new community that was smaller (which I wanted so we had a chance to meet more of our neighbors) and the lot we chose doesn’t have anyone building behind us or in front of us. We have wetlands in front of us that lead to a lake and a cul-de-sac that our boys can ride their bikes and scooters in. I even met a future neighbor who has two boys exactly the same ages as mine! We feel very blessed and super excited and can’t wait to begin the next chapter.
Before they started building I wanted to take some photos of the boys on our lot. They had a BLAST running around and playing and I was in heaven watching them through my lens… not to mention the gorgeous sunset I was getting too! EEK! I can’t wait to hang these in our new house.
I just wrapped up my busy season of photographing so many wonderful families AND a wedding! I’m looking forward to a new year, a fresh start and another year to do what I love. We wish you all a peaceful, merry and joyful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
